The Fox – Martha Evans

Take a deadly fire burning,

A funeral pyre for prey,

Take two embers of amber eye.

Use Mother oak's old leaves,

A cloak from Autumn's carpet,

Use an auburn camouflage.

Add a chimneysweep's brush,

A twitching copper broom

Add an ever-moving tail

Mix in a sliver of silver,

 A natural knife,

Mix in four killers of claws.

Pour in a silent gait,

A muffled step,

Pour in a suspicious walk.

With all the elements,

Stir it all in,

And out comes the answer:
